Find out a little about the directors at CHROMIS Occupational Medicine:
Dr Mary McGinty
Dr Puru Sagar
Dr Mary McGinty
MB BS(NSW)
ACCAM(Monash)
Having received a good grounding working as a doctor in medicine, surgery, and accident and emergency, Mary found her niche working in occupational medicine where she has been professionally happy and satisfied for over 20 years. In the past, Mary also worked for eight years managing the Newcastle office of a national OHS provider. For many years she oversaw the medicals done by other doctors. She is a Designated Diving Medical Examiner with the South Pacific Underwater Medicine Society and is also a Designated Aviation Medicine Examiner (DAME) with the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA). She is well versed with rail and driving medicals and is also an examiner of seafarers for the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA). She is an assessor of Permanent Impairment under Comcare and is a trained mediator. If ever lost, she can be conveniently located in a bookstore, buying both fiction and non-fiction to feed her voracious reading appetite.
Dr Puru Sagar
MB BS(NSW)
DA(UK) FRANZCP

ACCAM(Monash)
Puru has worked in accident and emergency, intensive care, and anaesthetics prior to training in psychiatry in Queensland. He opened up a private practice in Maitland in 1997. He is a consultant physician (in psychiatry) and a NSW WorkCover and Comcare Assessor of Permanent Impairment. After dabbling for a number of years in occupational psychiatry (whilst in private practice) Puru is now working in occupational medicine. He is also a DAME and has a strong interest in aviation medicine as well as performing rail, road and AMSA seafarer medicals. Being a frequent traveler, he works in the CHROMIS travel medicine service. When it all gets too much, he heads for the hills on his motorbike.
